The National Association of Pro Bono Professionals (NAPBPRO) offers the Hanna Cohn Equal Justice Conference Scholarship to assist members with expenses related to attending the annual ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference in Charlotte, NC, May 14–16, 2026.
The scholarship may be used to cover lodging, travel, and registration fees, not to exceed $600 per recipient. In addition, the ABA Center for Pro Bono will waive the conference registration fee for one NAPBPRO Scholarship recipient.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be current NAPBPRO members and submit an application that includes a statement of need (limited to 500 words) and a pledge to participate in NAPBPRO activities at the EJC and throughout the year. The scholarship is intended to assist pro bono professionals whose program budgets do not permit attendance at EJC. This scholarship may not be combined with other scholarships. Members of the Executive Committee are not eligible to receive a scholarship during their term of service.
One or more scholarships may be awarded each year. Scholarships are competitive, and all decisions by NAPBPRO are final and non-appealable.
