Welcome to NAPBPRO's New Pro Bono Professional Credentialing Program

Starting in the fall of 2026, NAPBPRO - in partnership with the American Bar Association's Center for Pro Bono - will start offering a Pro Bono Professional Certification Program. Through this program, pro bono professionals will have access to over 30 hours of training on pro bono program management - including board engagement and development, fundraising, volunteer recruitment and retention, and developing new programs and projects.

NAPBPRO has a deep respect with existing resources for pro bono professionals - including the PBI Institute and the ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference. Through conversations over two years, we found a need for additional, asynchronous, training that was affordable and accessible for programs of all sizes and areas of focus.

NAPBPRO will be hosting a networking lunch on Thursday, May 14th, at the 2026 ABA/NLADA Equal Justice Conference, to explain the credential and provide an early look at some of the programs, with a hard launch being planned for early 2027.
